It now a routine win under new manager Ole gunnar Solksjaer at United that everyone at the club sees winning as the only thing to expect when they play a game. That is how much the team has improved under Solskjaer. However the manager wants more from his players. This was after the 4-1 home win over Bournemouth.
It was a great day for Paul Pogba once again as he scored two and assisted another goal. That took his tally to four goals and three assists in three games under Solksjaer. The manager however expects his team to be much more conscious at the back. He wants to keep clean sheets and wants to be solid at the back. In his post match interview with Sky Sports
“You always look for improvements, we need that clean sheet. You can’t switch off in this league for a second. Great touch by [David] Brooks, by the way.
“Overall, a very good performance, the crowd enjoyed it but Newcastle is a big test next.
He touched on the Eric Bailly Red card:
“Eric Bailly knows it’s a rash challenge [for his red card] but the boys are excited and want to win the ball back and sometimes you mistime challenges.”
This could be signaling a move for a defender in January for United. It won’t be a bad move if United get a defender to add to their current sets.
