Reports in the Squawka today have disclosed that Sebastian Larsson has revealed that Benfica defender Victor Lindelof is ready to switch to premier league club Manchester united claiming that the defender will excel in the English premier league.
In recent weeks, the Benfica defender has been strongly linked with a move away from Portugal with Manchester united reportedly close to reaching an agreement to bring the defender to Old Trafford in January and following the defenders contributions and performance for his club both in the UEFA Champions league and Primeira league, Sebastian Larsson believes the defender will be a great addition to the Manchester united team.
Victor Lindelof represented his country Sweden at the Euro 2016 tournament hosted by France and he played alongside Sebastain Larsson who currently plays with premier league team Sunderland football club before exiting the tournament in the group stage of the competition.
Larsson has however supported his countryman to succeed at Manchester united if he completes a switch to the premier league giants and the attacker also added that Victor Lindelof is already playing at a top level so he would adapt well to the premier league and life at Manchester united.
Larsson told Manchester United Evening News:
“Victor is a first team player at Sweden and also at Benfica and Swedes can adapt to any activity especially football so I believe he is prepared for the premier league challenge and he will adapt fully to life at Manchester united”.
A switch to Manchester united for Victor Lindelof would see him partner with new united signing Eric Bailly at the centre-back position and it will also raise fierce competition between the likes of Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Phil Jones.
