Marouane Fellaini Suffers Calf Injury

Manchester united and Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini might miss Manchester United’s game against Arsenal after the international break after pulling out from the Belgium team with a calf injury and is set to return to Old Trafford according to reports in Manchester Evening News.


Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez revealed that it seemed the midfielder sustained the injury in the red devils 3-1 victory over Swansea on Sunday and also confirmed Marouane Fellaini has been sent back to Old Trafford for further assessment.

Marouane Fellaini linked up with his Belgian teammates ahead of their world cup qualifying games with Estonia and the Netherlands but the 28-year old player has returned back to Manchester after sustaining a calf injury.

Coach Roberto Martinez is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News:

Marouane Fellaini will return to Old Trafford and will be assessed by Manchester united team doctors and Jose Mourinho will be the 28-year old midfielder will be fit to feature for the red devils when they host Arsenal at Old Trafford on November 19.

Manchester united manager Jose Mourinho already has Eric Bailly, Antonio Valencia out due to injury while Luke Shaw, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have just returned back to training with the rest of the team and the Portuguese boss will be hoping his players who traveled to represent their respective countries will return back to Old Trafford unscathed.
