Due to allegations claiming that Manchester United defender Phil Jones abused an official in Manchester United’s Europa league success last season, the defender has now been slammed with a ban which means he would miss the red devils opening champions league game.

Reports in the Daily Mail also revealed that the English defender was slammed with a fine which he went on to describe as ‘out of the ordinary’. Phil Jones missed Manchester United’s super cup defeat to Real Madrid as he served his first suspension and he would miss United’s game against Basel.

Phil Jones would miss the game alongside Eric Bailly who is serving a three game suspension following his straight red card in United’s semi final victory over Celta Vigo last season.

Phil Jones absence would be missed as he has been in a fine for the beginning of the season and he has featured for Jose Mourinho in all three games as Manchester United have begun the season on a high note with three victories out of three games to maintain their spot at the top of the premier league table
