Manchester United forward, Antony Marial time at Old Trafford might be coming to an end very soon. This is coming after his agent stated that his client is willing to leave the club. Philippe Lamboley, director of USFA management, has however indicated that United still have the final say as regards his future at the club but a new contract is not close to being agreed.

“After thinking about all the possibilities and scenarios, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United,” Lamboley told RMC Sport. “There are many scenarios. For now, it’s premature to talk about it. Anthony will speak later to explain all of this. Manchester United want to extend Anthony’s contract and do not want him to leave, but we have not been able to find an agreement for several months.”

Anthony Martial were among big names that did not make the French team for the world cup and part of it was based on his lack of game time at United. However, that doesn’t stop  UK football lovers from betting online on Red Devils, even if Martial didn’t got a proper chance to prove himself worthy.

The majority of betting sites in UK predict that there will be difficulties for Man Utd if they decide to let him go. The 22-year-old attacker has been having a tough time under Mourinho and has hardly been his sparkling best he was known for two seasons ago, so French team will have to do their best without him.

What about Manchester United and their chance of success next season? How online betting sites will present their offers if Martial leaves? It will certainly reduce The Red Devil’s chances of winning the trophy, so many online sites are predicting hard future for this team without Martial in it.

His form on and off the field is a serious concern to look at for the club in general. Martial has been heavily criticized for his lack of effort to improving his work rate under Jose Mourinho. Critically, Martial is not the only player suffering this kind of thing under the Portuguese. Attacking players have struggled to adapt to the demand of the manager.

It is understandable that the manager has a way he will like to play but in a situation that you have several of your players not fitting into the system, something should have been done. It is beyond a Martial case and if the club management looks at it, technical players are not at their ultimate best with the system adopted by Mourinho.

United as not played to the strength of their players and this has affected them a lot this last season dropping points where it is not necessary. There is definitely no perfect way of playing football and this is one fact we all have to allude to but, the 21st century game is more attack minded than defensive. The game to goal ratio will show you this in the last 10 years compared to previous ones.

If the situation of young attacking players leaving under Mourinho is not remedied, then United should be ready to follow the line they did with Pogba more in coming future. One thing is sure, Martial will not be short of demand and could even go for as much as the £36m United paid Monaco for his service in 2015.

Tottenham and even Bayern Munich are watching how the whole saga ends. It is in United best interest he gets a new contract and Mourinho find a way to use him.

In no time, Rashford will also be deem too lazy and will be the next in line to leave the club and United will continue to pay huge salaries to players closing in on their thirties.
