Since the sacking of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, several first team players have been granting interviews and stating how they enjoy their football more now under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. Words that were used are words directly used to taking a dig at Jose Mourinho.
Freedom to play to their strength, managers attacking football and many things complained under Mourinho by the media are now being mentioned by the players. The latest now is Ander Herrera. The Spanish midfielder is not the first player that will talk about freedom since Mourinho left and now he’s talking about how Paul Pogba has also enjoyed from the freedom which allows him maximize his potential.
The 29 year old also stated that the free role Pogba plays now help the team more now than under Jose Mourinho who had to drop Pogba to the bench along the way.
“He is playing very simple and effective in our half, then when he is in the opponent’s half he has that magic to change the game,” the Spaniard began. “I think Nemanja and me, or the other players, have to help him to make him feel free and that’s what we’re doing”
This has also according to Herrera not deter Pogba from assisting with defensive responsibility.
“Not only with the ball. I think as soon as we lose the ball he is ready to defend, ready to help the team.”
With everyone happy with the performance under Solksjaer and results have been remarkable, 15 goals in four match, it is time to believe the players about the freedom story they have now than under Jose Mourinho.
