The statement reads: “During today’s training session, Alexis Sanchez sustained a hamstring injury, which will require further investigation to confirm its severity.” The news is coming at a bad time for the 29 year old who has been struggling for form since he joined United from Arsenal last winter. This injury also dent his chance of making an impression on the manager after he has been dropped to the bench for most of the games lately. With just four gals in thirty appearances for the club since joining, things have not been as planned for the former Arsenal man and this injury could be another setback.
The length of the injury was not stated but it is expected that he won’t be out for a long period of time. Sanchez is a quality player and his success at Arsenal attracted United to him. Everyone at the club have to find a way to get him back to his very best because on his day, he could win games for United.
